Ruby Cloud's long term mission is to make Internet communications more reliable and secure. We're developing the technology to help usher in a new era of Internet communications and turn this cloud of ours into something solid and beautiful. We've got a passion for building great things, and having fun while we're at it. We're not afraid of disruption — not for its own sake, but in the interest of making the Internet work better. Big problems demand big solutions.
Ruby Cloud was founded by Matt Olson, an accomplished web application architect and engineer. Matt has been working on web applications for over ten years, since his graduation from the U.C. Berkeley Computer Science department in 1997. Having worked on numerous web and email applications, some small, some very large, Matt has what it takes to sucessfully take a project from start to finish — from the initial concept, design and planning, through to its implementation, QA, security audit, hosting, operations, and performance tuning.
Here's a list of upcoming events that we're attending. If you'll be there too, let us know if you want to hook up. In addition to these major events, we're always checking Upcoming for smaller SF Bay Area events, so if you're in the area, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet up.
If you have questions about what we're up to, or how we might work together, give us a shout! If you're a hard-core software engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area and you're excited about the future of the Web, please introduce yourself. Don't be shy.
If you want to hear about the gems we're building, join our mailing list. We promise we will never sell or rent your name or email address to anyone. We hate spam as much as you do! (Maybe more — is that possible?) This is a low volume announcement list, limited to important news only. Go ahead, sign up!
